Star Metals brings more than 1.5 million square feet of housing, hospitality, and innovative office space to Atlanta’s postindustrial Westside corridor, honoring the area’s past with LEED-certified concrete, steel, and impeccable interior design.

We like to think the idea all started atop the showstopper conference table we created for their home office. It consists of just two book matched slabs of wood carved from the same tree and set atop a monolithic metal base. It’s an awesome, natural beast—impressive for its size as well as the cracks, crevices, and grain that grace its top: beautiful imperfections highlighted by an oiled finish. This is where creativity meets power and important conversations take place.

Inside the property’s residential lobby, you’ll come face to face with a geometric reception desk inspired by our Arciform family. Sporting the same texture-rich walnut crosshatched details as its cousins, this sturdy yet soft focal point holds court, ready to salute visitors and home-comers alike. Plus, as a true Skylar Morgan piece, it’s more than just a pretty face. Take a seat behind the desk, and you’ll find integrated power, a cozy electronics cubby, and copious locking drawers to meet the needs of the hardworking modern professional. Topping it all off is a durable yet delicate concrete slab, while light burnished metal legs make the whole desk feel weightless.
